Big Night Boston is the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay’s (BBBSMB) biggest fundraiser and celebration of the year. The organization pulls out all the stops in order to throw a great party while raising money to support the relationships harbored between 2,000 youth in the Massachusetts Bay region and their adult mentors.

This year, BBBSMB will host its 16th annual Big Night on February 7 at the House of Blues. The party invites guests and donors in for food, drink, raffles and big entertainment, and this year is no different: 90s headliners Goo Goo Dolls and Shaggy will both perform during the event.

John Rzeznik, lead singer and guitarist of the Goo Goo Dolls, said in a statement:

We’re honored to come to Boston to rock out for a great cause. It’s going to be an awesome night, and it’s great that it will support the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay mentoring initiative.

So, if you thought your chances of seeing “It Wasn’t Me” and “Slide” performed in one night had died in the 90s, think again. That particular dream of the 90s is alive and well in Boston, at least, on February 7.

The organization’s 2015 fundraising goal is to raise $1.6 million, which will be put toward both supporting existing relationships and help the 900 youths in the region who are currently on the waiting list. To date, the Big Night fundraiser has raised $26 million over the course of 15 years.
