It might still be the weekend for some, but it’s still time to look ahead and see what’s happening this week in Boston. Whether you’re still scrambling to get in on today’s free culture thanks to today’s Open Our Doors event or planning what to do Thursday night (our choice: a Jimi Hendrix tribute show), here’s what to do this week in Boston.

Monday

13th Annual Opening Our Doors – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Fenway Cultural District – Head to Fenway for a day of free cultural experiences, presented by the Fenway Alliance. Events include an interactive community mural painting, a public art installation, glass blowing, spoken word poetry and live music. Food trucks and free samples will be gathered in the Christian Science Plaza.

Fall Open House – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. – MFA – All day on Columbus Day, the Museum of Fine Arts will be free and open to the public. There will also be special events, hands on activities, and tours taking place throughout the day.

Craft Beer Revolution with Boston Beer, Cambridge, Harpoon, Pretty Things & Brooklyn – 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. – Harpoon Brewery – Brooklyn Brewery Co-founder Steve Hindy is heading to Boston to discuss the “craft beer revolution,” and how new breweries challenged the beer corporations, chronicled in his new book, “Craft Beer Revolution.” Boston’s craft beer brands will join in on the talk. Tickets are $15.

Tuesday

Lunch Break on D – 12 to 2 p.m. – Lawn on D – Need a break from the office? Every Tuesday through the end of October, Lawn on D is hosting special events, a food truck round up and lunchtime trivia.

Pizza and Bowling Fundraiser for Real Kids Real Food – 5 to 10 p.m. – Flatbread Pizza Co. – Head to Flatbread and Sacco’s Bowl Haven in Somerville for a night of pizza, candlepin bowling and raffles to benefit Real Kids Real Food, an organization designed to educate children on nutritional eating.

Louis Latour Wine Dinner – 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. – Legal Harborside – Tuesday night, Legal Harborside is hosting Louis Latour Wine’s President Louis-Fabrice Latour for a four-course wine pairing dinner. Dishes include bacon-wrapped monkfish, halibut en croute and more.

Wednesday

Arlington International Film Festival – October 15-19 – Regent Theater – Filmmakers, directors, arts leaders and students from around the world will be showcasing their short films, documentaries and feature length films during the course of this five-day film festival, taking place at the Regent Theater in Arlington. Multi-day passes and single day passes are available.

North End Elephant Brunch – 11 a.m. – Hanover Street – Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey are bringing the circus to town from October 15 through 19 at the TD Garden, and on Wednesday morning, the public is invited to an elephant feast. The starts of the show (the elephants) will be chowing down on loaves of bread, watermelons, bananas and apples, and you can get a front row seat. The feast will take place next to the fire house at 392 Hanover Street.

Kendall Square EatUp – 5:30 to 8 p.m. – Atrium @ 100 Technology Square – Join the Kendall Square Association and the neighborhood’s best restaurants for an evening of eating, drinking and learning about the center of innovation.

Top Chef Boston Premiere – 10 p.m. – Bravo – Season 12 of Bravo’s ‘Top Chef’ series was filmed in Boston, and the season will premiere this Wednesday at 10 p.m. Local Chef Stacy Cogswell of the Regal Beagle in Brookline will compete.

Thursday

Gardner Museum: Third Thursdays – 5:30 to 9 p.m. – Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum – Live music, drinks and discussions will take over the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum for Third Thursday. This month, the museum has partnered with Grub Street, and the evening will focus on the historical letters held at the museum.

2nd Annual Octoberfest Party – 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. – MJ O’Connor’s Waterfront – MJ O’Connor’s will transform their patio into an outdoor beer garden for their second annual Octoberfest party, complete with a stein hoisting competition, complimentary food, and Sam Adams Harvest beers.

An Evening Dedicated to Jimi Hendrix – 9 p.m. – Beat Hotel – Head to the Beat Hotel for a tribute to Jimi Hendrix this Thursday night. Performances will be done by cover artists Randy Runyon and Karma Exchange with Julien Kasper. Music will begin at 9 p.m.
