Welcome to the last full week of 2014. We’ve already been through hundreds of events over the past 12 months, but we want to finish out strong year strong. Here’s what’s going on around this week’s holidays.

Monday

Gingerbread House Design Competition: Closing Reception – 6 to 8 p.m. – BSA Space – Area architects and design firms have created nine different gingerbread houses to compete in the design competition. Tonight, guests can view the designs, enjoy refreshments, and vote for their favorite.

Big Beer Night: 8 Stone Brews – 7 to 10 p.m. – Sunset Grill & Tap – Stone Brewing Co. is joining Pintley for a night of eight different Stone beers at Sunset Grill & Tap. For each guest who brings warm clothing to donate to adults in need will receive free chips and guac.

Tuesday

The Culinary Tastes of Washington Street – 7 to 10 p.m. – Boston City Lights Foundation – Join this fundraiser for Boston City Lights, a free performing arts school in the South End. There will be performances, music and food from local restaurants.

Wednesday

Feast of the Seven Fishes – 3 to 8 p.m. – Tuscan Kitchen, Salem – Partake in the Italian-American Feast of the Seven Fishes, a dinner that incorporates different seafood dishes. Tickets per guest are $55.

Fourth Annual Moo Shu Jew – 6 to 9 p.m. – Hei La Moon Restaurant – The New Center for Arts & Culture is hosting the fourth annual Moo Shu Jew comedy event that plays up the Jewish tradition of spending Christmas Eve in a Chinese restaurant. There will be four stand up comedians entertaining over dinner.

MatzoBall Boston 2014 – 9 p.m. – Royale – The annual MatzoBall is taking on its 28th year as the biggest event for Jewish singles. This year, guests are invited to Royale to partake in the Christmas Eve party. Tickets are $30-50.

Thursday
