Another Monday means the start of another work week, and is it just me, or does it finally feel like summer has started? Now that your eye is probably drifting toward the clock and out the window more often than ever, you should get this week’s lineup of events on your radar. There’s more sunlight in a day, after all, just asking to be taken advantage of. So go take advantage!

Monday

World Cup Oyster Special – 5 to 6 p.m. – Pier 6 – To celebrate tonight’s World Cup game that will pit the USA against Ghana, Pier 6 in Charlestown is running a $1 oyster special from 5 to 6 p.m. Grab a spot on the patio after work and slurp $1 oysters before the game starts.

Smokin’ Hot: Classic Summer BBQ – 6 to 9 p.m. – BCAE – In this BCAE cooking class, Dustin Rennels will teach all about the basics of a perfect backyard BBQ with staples like grilled chicken and steak. Summer drinks will be included. The class is $60 for non-members.

Cinema Jukebox: Hedwig and the Angry Inch – 7 to 10 p.m. – Coolidge Corner Theatre – See a special screening of ‘Hedwig and the Angry Inch’ starring John Cameron Mitchell tonight at the Coolidge Corner Theatre.

Coconuts and Cleve – 11 p.m. – Wink and Nod – Tiki Mondays at Wink and Nod continue with Coconuts and Cleve, named after the guest bartender. Cocktails include the Macchu Pisco, served inside tiki glasses. The special drinks will be served beginning at 11 p.m.

Midsummer Dinner Series– June 16 to June – Beacon Hill Hotel and Bistro – Commemorate the summer solstice with Beacon Hill Hotel and Bistro’s “Midsommarmiddag,” or Midsummer, Dinner Series. The series will run from today until June 24, starting at 5:30 p.m. and is $47 per person.

Tuesday

Taste of Quincy – 5 to 8 p.m. – Best Western Adams Inn – Sample the city’s best restaurants at the 2014 Taste of Quincy, like Punjab Cafe, Adams Pub, Sweet Frog, and more. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased here.

Super Burger Bros. Level 3: Commonwealth – 9 p.m. – Commonwealth – Chef Sam Monsour and Boston Burger’s Richard Chudy are throwing a burger party with Commonwealth Chef Nookie featuring burger recipes that will appear in the duo’s 2015-slated cookbook. Entry is free, pay as you eat.

Wednesday

Brewlywed Ale Release – 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Samuel Adams Boston Brewery – The third annual one-day release of Sam Adams’ Brewlywed Ale is this Wednesday, and they’re inviting couples to come snatch one of the 200 cases of the beer for their special day. Can’t wait to plan a wedding? There will be an on-hand Justice of the Peace for couples who want to tie the knot for free or renew their vows at the brewery.

2nd Annual Ties and Taps – 6  to 9 p.m. – District Hall – Enjoy craft beer and food from local restaurants to raise money for Community Work Services job training programs. All guests will be asked to bring a tie or scarf that someone could wear to a job interview to help the cause. There will also be raffles and giveaways. Tickets are $35.

Juneteenth Takeover – 6 to 9:45 p.m. – MFA – Future Boston is hosting a takeover at the MFA in honor of Juneteenth, which commemorates African American freedom. The night will feature live performances, Future Boston addresses, art activities and more. Free to attend.

Thursday

7th Annual Hat Day in the Sun – 12 p.m. – Post Office Square – The Headwear Association is fighting skin cancer by handing out big, floppy hats in Post Office Square this Thursday afternoon, as part of their nationwide public awareness campaign. The Boston event is being hosted by Salmagundi for Ladies and Gents.

Third Thursdays: Garden Party – 5:30 to 9 p.m. – Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum – The monthly Third Thursday party will be garden themed this time around, and will feature moonlit walks through the gardens at the museum. There will be a cash bar and live music. Tickets are $15 for adults.

Big Bottle Carnage – 6 to 10 p.m. – Belly Wine Bar – This patio party at Belly Wine Bar, located in Kendall Square in the shared space between Central Bottle Wine and The Blue Room, will focus on roasting whole animals and opening giant bottles of wine. Sounds good? Sounds good. Tickets are $65 per person.

Taste of the South – 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. – Bin 26 Enoteca – This wine dinner is centered around fare from the South of Italy, meaning lots of seafood dishes. Expect grilled shrimp, oysters, squid ink risotto and more on the menu, and all will be paired with Southern Italian wines. Tickets are $85.
