It’s Monday, and while that means it’s time to get back to work, it also means that there’s a new lineup of events in the city to keep you busy in the after hours. This week, get a taste of seasonal summer produce, participate in a burger battle, and sip caffeinated cocktails with SoonSpoon.

Monday

Putts & Punches for Parkinson’s Golf Tournament – 12:30 p.m. – Ferncroft Country Club – Join former Bruin Shawn Thornton today at the Ferncroft Country Club in Middleton, MA for the Parkinson’s benefit golf tournament. Things kick off at 12:30 p.m. and continue throughout the day.

Sensationally Fresh Summer: A Meal with Rachel Sundet – 6 to 9 p.m. – BCAE – Make the most of the season’s freshest summer produce with Rachel Sundet, pastry chef at Hungry Mother and part owner at State Park, who will teach students how to make a summer produce-oriented meal to remember. Tuition is $70 for non-members.

Tuesday

SoonSpoon Caffeinated Cocktails – 6:30 to 9 p.m. – WeWork Fort Point – Join three of Boston’s cocktail aficionados for a demonstrative coffee cocktail pop up. The team will be getting creative with the flavors and each ticket will allow for three drinks. Tickets are $30.

A Tribute to John Coltrane – 8 p.m. – Beat Hotel – Head to the Beat Hotel in Harvard Square for a musical tribute to the legendary John Coltrane. Music will be performed by the local jazz saxophonist George Garzone for an evening in the musician’s honor starting at 8 p.m.

Wednesday

Taste of the Seaport – 12 to 1:30 p.m. – Maritime Park – Get a taste of what the Seaport’s restaurants have to offer at this lunchtime event. The event is free and open to the public and includes live music, food and celebration.

#DogsofYelp Photo Contest Kick Off –  5:30 to 7:30 p.m. – TAMO Terrace at the Seaport Hotel – Rescheduled from last week. Got a dog who you think should be featured in the “Dogs of Yelp” photo calendar? Then bring him or her to the #DogsofYelp kick off party, hosted by Canines and Cocktails, where you’ll receive a Yelp doggie bandana. Submit a photo, or have one taken during the event, of your dog wearing the bandana before September 6 to be considered for the calendar. At the event, you’ll enjoy cocktails while your pup enjoys organic doggie treats. Free to attend.

Boston Magazine’s Battle of the Burger – 6 to 10 p.m. – Cruiseport Boston – After months of online voting, the Battle of the Burger is here. Twenty restaurants are duking it out at Cruiseport Boston this Wednesday night with guests deciding who will be crowned Best Burger in Boston.

Light, Fresh and Healthy: Summertime Dinner Party – 6 to 9 p.m. – BCAE – Partake in the cooking, creating and eating of this summertime dinner menu with BCAE. Sparkling cocktails, kale salad, quinoa tabouli and more are on the menu. Tuition is $60 for non-members.

Thursday

Bridge Rep Brews: Season Two Launch and Fundraiser – 6 to 8 p.m. – Studio Twenty Two – Bridge Rep Brews is back for season two. This event invites guests to get a preview of the Bridge Repertory Theater’s productions through creative beer tastings. You’ll also get food and discounted tickets through the preview. This year’s will be held at Studio Twenty Two in Malden.

Bacchanalia Patio Party – 6 to 9 p.m. – Cinquecento – After last year’s successful opening party, Cinquecento is making their patio parties a tradition. Head to the South End location for wine, food, bocce, music and more.

Blue Crab + Beer Fest III – 6:30 p.m. – Blue Room, Central Bottle Wine & Belly Wine Bar – This patio party combines blue crab and beer for the ultimate summer celebration. Join Blue Room, Central Bottle and Belly Wine Bar for a meal of crabs, steamers, corn and potatoes downed with local beer. Tickets are $72 per person and are all you can eat and drink.
