While that chill in the air likely made it that much more difficult to crawl out of bed this Monday morning, cheer up. Fall is upon us (just about), sunny days are coming, and there’s plenty to do to carry on your summery spirit this week in Boston. Read up and get out there.

Monday

Inbound 2014 – September 15-18 – Boston Convention and Exhibition Center – Inbound 2014 is upon us, the HubSpot conference that brings together innovative business leaders to one place for keynotes, discussions, workshops in more. Big name speakers at this year’s conference include Martha Stewart, Simon Sinek and Malcolm Gladwell. Registration is still open.

JP Beer Garden Dinner – 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. – Vee Vee – The second installment of the JP Beer Garden Dinner pop up series will be a sit-down affair at Vee Vee in Jamaica Plain curated by Chef Owen Royce-Nagel. Beer and wine will be served in steins and goblets alongside the meal. Tickets are $75.

Boston Soda Jerk’s Soda Tasting – 7 to 10 p.m. – Tavern in the Square: Central Square – Join the oldest bottling plant in the country, Simpson Spring, for a soda dinner at Tavern in the Square. Meals include Jamaican Jerk chicken and maple roasted pork paired with different sodas. Tickets are $30.

Tuesday

East Broadway Foodie Crawl – 5:45 p.m. – Somerville’s East Broadway District – Take a cultural food crawl through the East Broadway District in Somerville, starting at either Mudflat or Louie’s Ice Cream and popping around to different culinary stops, like the newly opened La Brasa, as well as the outdoor venue East Broadway Streetscape. Tickets are $20.

Whiskey 101 – 7 to 9 p.m. – Saloon – Saloon’s Beverage Director Manny Gonzales is hosting monthly whiskey tastings and classes this fall for both experts and beginners. Learn about bourbon, rye, scotch and more at this introductory class. Tickets are $35.

Wednesday

Chowder Fest – 7 p.m. – Bella Luna/Milk Way Bar and Lounge – As part of Milky Way’s Wednesday night fall music series, they’ll be hosting their first Chowder Fest, featuring craft beer from six local breweries and four different types of homemade chowder. Tickets are $15.

Jim Beam Kentucky Fire Whiskey Release Party – 7 p.m. – Brighton Music Hall – Jim Beam is releasing a new whiskey with a dash of cinnamon, and they’re hosting a party at Brighton Music Hall to ring it in. Dalton and the Sheriffs will perform. 21+; free with RSVP.

6th Annual Oyster Festival – September 17 to October 14 – Legal Sea Foods – It’s everything oysters this month at Legal Sea Foods, as their annual Oyster Festival makes a come back. Head to dining events like the Shellfish Shindig and Mollusk Mania over the month-long festival.

Thursday

Awake Boston – 6 to 9:30 a.m. – Umbria Prime – Boston’s first ever sober morning dance party takes place this Thursday at 6 a.m. There will be optional morning yoga with Lee Skunes, coffee, tea and smoothies as well as snacks, and music to dance to by DJs Common Notion and Nighth@wk, all for an invigorating start to the day. Tickets for the yoga and dance party combo are sold out, but are still available for just the dance party here. A portion of the money from tickets sold will be donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

Third Thursdays: Jazz in Boston – 5:30 p.m. – Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum – This month’s party is jazz-themed, and the Gardner Museum will bring in the Berklee Rainbow All Stars for the live music, as well as host a discussion on Jazz in Roxbury, and serve champagne in the courtyard. Tickets are $15; members get in for free.

“Farm to Change” Dinner to Benefit the Blue Hills Boys and Girls Club – 6:30 p.m. – Post 390 – Along with Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare Foundation, Post 390 is hosting a locally grown dinner to support the urban agriculture program at the Blue Hills Boys and Girls Club. Each dish will feature produce grown in Dorchester by the Blue Hills Garden Club.

Startup Stir: How to Launch a Foodie Startup – 6:30 to 8 p.m. – Workbar Cambridge – For this month’s Startup Stir, Beacon Hill Partners is hosting a panel discussion with five of Boston’s chefs, restaurateurs, brew masters and more for a lesson in turning passions for food into a business. This panel comes with complimentary cocktail and food tastings as well.
