Ahh, the weekend. What’s in store for this run of Friday, Saturday and Sunday? Funny you should ask, because it’s all listed below!

Highlights from the weekend include the Beer Summit Winter Jubilee (because craft beer), a Taste of Chocolate Festival (because celebratory chocolate) and a Bacon & Bourbon themed brunch (because– is this getting too obvious?).

Friday

Sip & Spin at the Mmmmaven Project – 6 to 8 p.m. – Mmmmaven – Potential DJs are invited to get the night club experience with the Mmmmaven Project. They’ll get up close and personal with the DJs and sip free cocktails while they’re at it.

Robert Burn’s Night: Scotch Whiskey & Poetry Pairing – 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. – BCAE – Partake in a “Burn’s Night,” a traditional Scottish night of poetry reading and Scotch drinking.

Beer Summit Winter Jubilee – January 24 & 25 – Park Plaza Castle – Beer Summit has gathered 60 brewers and over 200 beers for sampling at the Winter Jubilee event, which features New England craft beers. There will be three sessions: one on Friday and two on Saturday.

Taste of Chocolate Festival – January 23-25 – Harvard Square – Harvard Square restaurants will celebrate the area’s Taste of Chocolate festival by offering up chocolate appetizers, entrees, desserts, cocktails and more, while retailers will be giving discounts and samples in honor of the event.

Saturday

Boston Winter Wildlife Cruise – 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Boston Harbor Islands – Embrace the brisk air and take a Boston Harbor Cruise that will tour the winter wildlife on the harbor, in conjunction with the New England Aquarium.

The Boston Horror Show – 2 to 10 p.m. – Somerville Theater – Love horror movies? Then partake in the Boston Horror Show, which features both short films and feature length movies all in the horror genre. Ticket passes and single tickets are available for purchase.

Fire Puncher Day – 4 to 7 p.m. – Redbones BBQ – Every year, Grand Ten Distilling honors the history of its warehouse, which was once an iron foundry, before a fire destroyed it. The commemorative spirit, dubbed the Fire Puncher (a smoky and spicy vodka) will be featured in different specialty cocktails at this Redbones BBQ event. Free to attend.

Sunday

Bacon and Bourbon Brunch – 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Anthem Kitchen & Bar – This specialty brunch menu is available for one day only at Anthem, and features bacon-centric dishes (like the Bacon and Apple Monte Cristo) and bourbon cocktails (like the Bacon Old Fashioned). Reservations can be made now.

Your Best Year Yet with Rebecca Pacheco – 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. – BCAE – Want to lay the groundwork for a great year? This class, taught by author and yogi Rebecca Pacheco, shows you how to teach your mind to work towards a better you – no resolutions needed.

Tavern Road Studio Sundays: Shea Alexander – 4 p.m. – Tavern Road – Illustrator Shea Alexander will be the featured artist at this month’s Studio Sunday, a series at Tavern Road that takes place on the fourth Sunday of the month and serves as both a mixer event and studio pop up. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, as well as the artist’s work.

10th Annual CityFeast – 6 p.m. – Multiple Venues – The 10th annual CityFeast invites guests to enjoy a five-course meal at a participating restaurant of their choice (including Bricco, Lucca, Prezza, Strega and Antico Forno) to benefit  Joslin Diabetes Center’s High Hopes Fund. Tickets are $150.
