Here it is: Labor Day weekend … oh, and the eve of Allston Christmas. While it feels way too soon, it’s time to start planning your end-of-summer barbecues and last minute trips to the Cape. However, if you’re sticking around, we’ve got some ways for you to entertain yourself. Unless, of course, you’re moving – in that case, God speed.

Friday

Uniqlo Store Openings – 10 a.m. – Natick Mall and Chestnut Hill Mall – Uniqlo is opening two of its incoming stores in the Boston area on Friday, with a ribbon cutting and a drum ceremony at the Natick Mall to celebrate. Free tote bags will also be handed out at both locations all weekend for customers.

Last Call for the Good Humor Ice Cream Truck – After a summer of making its rounds through Boston neighborhoods, the Good Humor Ice Cream Truck will make its final drop this Friday. It will be visiting locations in Jamaica Plain, Chestnut Hill, South Boston, Charleston and Back Bay, and you can follow the truck on Twitter to find its exact whereabouts.

5th Annual Mass Brewer’s Fest – 6 to 9:30 p.m. – Seaport World Trade Center – Thirty members of the Massachusetts Brewers Guild, which includes Bad Martha, Harpoon, Cape Cod Beer, Clown Shoes and more, will be bringing over 100 different brews to the festival on Friday night to showcase their stuff. Live music and food will also be on site.

St. Anthony’s Feast – August 29-31 – North End – The 95th annual “Feast of All Feasts” will take over this weekend in the North End, with food lovers flocking to the streets to get a taste of the traditional Italian fare, as well as enjoy live entertainment, contests and more. There will be over 100 pushcarts making rounds, so if you’re hungry, don’t miss out.

13th Annual Boston Tattoo Convention – August 29-31 – Back Bay Sheraton Hotel – Tattoo artists and enthusiasts are invited to the 13th Boston Tattoo Convention this weekend, with artists, entertainment and performances taking place over the course of the convention.

Saturday

Boston Arts Festival – August 30 & 31 – Christopher Columbus Park – This two day arts festival, also sometimes referred to by someone as the “ahts” festival, brings together cultural traditions in the form of dance and art for a two day affair. Hands-on workshops and performances fill out the afternoon on the waterfront.

Labor Day Fireworks – 9 p.m. – Boston Harbor – Serving as both a highlight of the Boston Arts Festival and the finale of the Summer on the Waterfront series, the Labor Day Fireworks on the Boston Harbor are back. The fireworks will be anchored off of Fan Pier, so the Boston Harbor Walk is the best place to view the show.

Labor Day Fireworks Cruise – 8:30 p.m. – Adirondack III – Don’t want to watch the fireworks show on dry land? Hop aboard the Adirondack III for the best seats on the water. There will be desserts and drinks served on the ship as well.

Sunday

S&M Sundays End of Summer Soiree – 6:30 p.m. – Rooftop @ Revere/Emerald Lounge – This end of summer party kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with a fashion show put on by Samuel Vartan on the rooftop at the Revere Hotel. The fashion show will be followed by the launch party of LIQS Cocktail Shots at Emerald Lounge.

Monday

Allston Christmas – September 1 – Are you ready for this? Whether you’re moving, helping someone move, or watching everyone move, there’s plenty to know about the foreboding mess that is Allston Christmas. Read up on our complete coverage of the anti-holiday here, and prepare ya’selves.

Frank Hatch Free Day – 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum – The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is opening its door to the public for free on Monday, September 1 in honor of Labor Day. Admission will be granted every half hour between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. for guests to experience the museum as well as the current nature exhibit.
