Another week, another round of funding. At least that was the case for startups docTrackr, thredUP, Thinking Phone Networks, Libboo, and Punchbowl. Combined, the local business raised roughly $35.6 million in funding. But they weren’t the only ones making moves. TripAdvisor acquired Wanderfly, and a Boston suburb became the new home for Israeli manufacturer Argo Medical Technologies. Why? Probably because Massachusetts was named the best state for entrepreneurs by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s annual rank of U.S. states’ entrepreneurial climates.

That’s not all. Cleantech Open Northeast and MassChallenge startups are all gearing up to compete for million of dollars and chances to make big-time pitches. As is the case with FutureM, where startups compete for the chance to pitch Boston-based ad firm Hill Holliday and their client, Dunkin’ Donuts, on marketing ideas. Tickle your fancy? Read all about them here, starting with Monday’s news and wrapping up with today’s. Enjoy this week’s business wrap and have a great weekend.
