With 1,000 new Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants opening in California, Starbucks has been put on notice; there’s a new sheriff in town and he’s ready to do work. Thanks to a large ice, with cream and sugar, and two turbo shots…

And a bacon, egg and cheese on a croissant.

If people are honest with themselves, it’s safe to assume that both Dunks and Starbs have both been sampled in ample amounts. That said, almost everyone has a preference. Personally, even though it’s an election year, I’m not afraid to share my vote: I’m a DD guy. I’ve been drinking Starbucks more often as of late, but that’s out of convenience.

Now that I’ve shared, I encourage readers not to be shy.

Once again, courtesy of Polar’s Dmitry Dragilev, the creator of BostInno’s John Connolly vs. Marty Walsh mayoral poll, readers have the opportunity to cast their vote for either Dunkin’ Donuts or Starbucks.

Will Dunks hold it down for the Hub? Or will Starbucks flex its muscle? Do you run on blue-collar spirit? Or does ordering in Italian make you feel like a more cultured individual?

Thanks for making democracy work, you guys.
