With the World Series currently tied up at one game apiece, there’s still plenty of action left for the 2013 championship. And we know you’re feeling the excitement as evident by the Red Sox banners, dressed-up ducklings and red light displays throughout our city. You’ve shown your team spirit in many different forms but now, you can celebrate the Red Sox in another form: food. Yes, this is my favorite kind of celebration as well.

Not only are Boston restaurants running numerous Red Sox deals but now it seem even local food trucks are getting into the action. Food Truck Throwdown is hosting a competition where baseball fans can support their teams by voting for their favorite World Series inspired dishes served up by a local food truck.

Both Boston food trucks and St. Louis food trucks will go head to head in this battle of the food trucks. According to the website, the city with the most votes at the end of the World Series will be crowned champion. The contenders include 17 St. Louis food trucks and 13 Boston food trucks.

Several of the Boston food trucks in the competition include: Bonedaddy’s Burgers The Grand Slammed, Roxy’s Grilled Cheese Green Muenster Sandwich and the The Cupcakory Love That Dirty Water Cupcake (among many others). St. Louis also offers a wide range of food truck dish options including the Completely Sauced truck’s Beat Beantown Balls.

These creative world series inspired dishes will be yours for the choosing. Voting started October 24 and will continue until the last inning of the final game of the World Series. To see the rest of the food truck options, check them out here and vote for your favorite world series inspired grub.
