To celebrate the one-year anniversary of its first brick and mortar’s grand opening, Boston-based beauty company Follain is adding an exciting new way to shop their collections. With two store locations, one in Boston and one in Nantucket, Follain is now giving beauty lovers the option to shop online with their newly launched e-commerce website.

The local company focuses on health and wellness values when choosing products to stock in store, and currently, they sell more than 30 U.S. brands specializing in hair and skin care as well as cosmetics. Founder Tara Foley got the idea for her company in 2009 after realizing that toxic chemicals in her favorite beauty products were damaging her hair and skin; in 2013, Follain – a Gaelic term for “healthy, wholesome and sound” – opened its first store in the South End, and Foley is dedicated to ensuring that only safe and natural products make their way into her store.

With the new ability to shop online, customers can sort through Follain’s products, which run the gamut from shampoos and conditioners to cleansers and serums, and come from brands like Ilia Beauty, which sells lipsticks, conditioners, balms and exfoliators, and Organic Bath Co., which sells scrubs and body butters. The e-commerce site lets shoppers peruse the collections, review each product’s purpose and ingredients, as well as get a quick run down on how to use it, closely imitating the in-store Follain experience.

Check out Follain’s new website here, and get to shopping their all-natural products – you might accumulate quite the online basket, but here’s a hint: shipping is free on orders over $75.
