Believe it or not – Christmas is just a little over a week away. I don’t know about you but it seems like the holiday season snuck up so quickly, I’ve barely had time to savor the season. If you find yourself nodding your head in agreement, then I have the perfect way to solve those Christmas blues.

After work tomorrow, December 17, you have the opportunity to join a holiday dinner and film pairing. Zebra’s Bistro and Wine Bar Chef Brendan Pelley will be teaming up with Revere Hotel’s Reel Chefs Series for a holiday movie and dinner duet, part of the ongoing “Reel Chefs” series. The event will certainly fit the bill for fulfilling your holiday cheer quota this season.

Guests will be served a legit “Elf” inspired menu which includes: “Cookies and Milk”: Forme d’ambert cheese, salted rosemary shortbread cookies and concord grape jam; “Reindeer Tartare”: Quail Egg, Yellow Snow and Potato Chips, “Spaghetti and Maple Syrup”: Maple Cured Bacon, Pecorino Romano, Thyme, Black Pepper and a 60 Degree Egg; “The Four Main Food Groups”- Maple Syrup and Candy Cane Ice Cream Sandwiched between Candy Corn Marshmallow and Pretzel M & M’s Cookies; and of course, “The World’s Best Coffee.”

I have to say, it’s quite a create menu inspired by the cult movie favorite, “Elf.” Not only can you indulge in enough sweet and sugary treats to last you through the holiday season, but you’ll also be meeting new people who “share your affinity for elf culture,” as Buddy once said.

Doors open at the Revere Hotel Boston Common for the pairing event at 6:30 p.m. and dinner will begin at 7:00 p.m. $50 Tickets must be purchased in advance. Buy them quick before this whimsical holiday treat is sold out.
