There’s no denying that Boston has quite an appetite. Who could blame us, after all? We happen to have some of the very best restaurants, chefs and food in the world. We’re both adventurous and traditional when it comes to food. Don’t believe me? We were even named one of the best American cities for foodies recently.

Boston is certainly always hungry and ready to try the next “it” restaurant. Fortunately for all of the foodies out there, this fall is about to get a whole lot tastier.

That’s because the James Beard Foundation’s “Taste America” event is coming to the Hub. According to FoodService East, “the national epicurean tour celebrating America’s culinary diversity” will be traveling from coast to coast, stopping in 10 cities throughout the U.S. Each of these cities will get to experience a tasting reception from local chefs and a “collaborative four-course dinner crafted by a Taste America All-Star and a local celebrity chef.”

Boston’s Taste America event will kick off Friday, October 24 at The Revere Hotel Boston Common, according to the article. Boston diners can expect a “reception filled with bites and libations from local chefs, including Aaron Chambers of Bar Boulud Boston, Michael Leviton of Lumičre, Mary Dumont of Harvest, Michael Scelfo of Alden & Harlow, and Tiffani Faison from Sweet Cheeks.”

The article also notes that guests can expect a dinner “prepared by Ludo Lefebvre of Trois Mec, Petite Trois and Ludo Bird (Los Angeles), and Jamie Bissonnette of Toro & Coppa (Boston & New York).” The group will create a unique menu just for the diners.

The weekend long event will also include cooking demos, tastings, book signings and more. For tickets and more information, check here.
