We already know that nothing beats dinner and a movie. Unless, of course, it’s dinner and a movie outside. Fortunately for outdoor-loving Bostonians, we’ve got quite a few concerts and events happening outside during the glorious summer months. And one in particular will soon be making a comeback to the Boston scene this August!

According to an official source, EF Education First will begin hosting EF River & a Movie nights next month. And trust us – these classic movies are winners. The free outdoor movie nights will be offered to all “EFers and community members in Cambridge and Greater Boston,” notes the source.

EF River & a Movie will take place on Wednesday evenings at DCR North Point Park in Cambridge. All attendees will also receive free parking in EF’s buildings as well as food and drink specials available at Lingo Bar and Restaurant.

The outdoor movie event will open at 6 p.m., beginning the night with lawn games like Ladder Ball, Cornhole, and Jenga. EF is also partnering with Community Boating to bring viewers 20 kayaks for pre-movie rides along the Charles River. The movies will begin around dusk every Wednesday and end around 10 p.m.

That’s right – free boat rides, movies and games every Wednesday night in the Hub.

The EF River & a Movie schedule is below:

8/6 The Princess Bride

8/13 Raiders of the Lost Ark

8/20 Roman Holiday

8/27 Viewer’s Choice: EF is soliciting ideas over the next few weeks. Viewers can vote on Facebook to pick the final movie.

So, mark your calendar! There’s no missing this free series. For more information on EF River & a Movie, check here.
