If you went a little stir-crazy this week during the snow days, we feel you. Now that the weekend is coming up, the last thing you want to do is park it on the couch in front of Netflix, again. (Ahem, or not.) Still, there’s reason to get out of the house this weekend, and we suggest you seize the opportunities, before you’re back on the couch for the Super Bowl this Sunday.

Friday

Spirits 101: Spectrum of Spirits – 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. – Boston Wine School – Learn how to navigate the modern world of craft spirits and mixology with this two hour class on spirits led by the Boston Wine School. There will be tastings, appetizers and cheeses. Tickets are $55.

Wine Glass Painting with Donut and Wine Pairing – 7 to 9:30 p.m. – Two Three Zero – Paint Nite will guide you through a wine glass painting tutorial while Kristin Cook will lead a wine and donut pairing featuring Union Square Donuts. Tickets are $45.

Pinberry’s 10th Anniversary – 7 to 10 p.m. – Participating locations – In honor of Pinkberry’s 10th anniversary, the fro yo shop is offering 10 cent small yogurts with toppings at their participating locations.

Saturday

SnowMANia – 12 to 4 p.m. – The Lawn on D – Thanks to Winter Storm Juno, The Lawn on D is hosting a pop-up event this Saturday: a snowman building contest that invites both adults and children to partake. There will be prizes given out to the best snowpeople, and the Taco Truck will be on hand.

Get a Clue: Boston Bar Crawl – 12 to 5 p.m. – Various bars – Tired of the same old type of bar crawl? Get a Clue send teams of up to five people on a scavenger hunt/race around the city to bars where they’ll have one drink and complete a challenge before moving on to the next bar. Prizes will be awarded. Registration is $150 per team, and 100 percent of the proceeds are being donated directly to ALS research at the ALS Therapy Development Institute.

7th Annual “Some Like It Hot” Chili Cook-off – 1 to 2:30 p.m. – Harvard Square – What better weekend to partake in a chili cook-off than Super Bowl weekend? Head to Harvard Square Saturday afternoon to try chilis of all kinds: spicy, vegan, hot and meaty. Harvard Square restaurants will be participating, and guests can vote on their favorite. Free to attend.

Burrito Bowl IV – 1 to 3:30 p.m. – Poe’s Kitchen at the Rattlesnake – The Burrito Bowl invites local chefs to create a burrito bowl that reflects the city of their favorite NFL team, in honor of the Super Bowl. The creations will be judged by guests and a panel of “referees” including Boston Tweets’ Tom O’Keefe and Zagat Editor Scott Kearnan. Tickets are $25.

Sunday

10th Annual Great Chili Cook-off – 12 to 3 p.m. – Olde Magoun’s Saloon – Per tradition, Olde Magoun’s is hosting a chili cook-off the day of the Super Bowl. If you’ve got a great chili recipe, bring a gallon of it to be judged by the hungry guests. Can’t cook? Just go to taste. It’s free to attend.

Improv Asylum’s Sunday Night Show – 8 p.m. – Improv Asylum – Can’t stand all the Super Bowl hype? The Improv Asylum’s Sunday Night Show will go on at 8 p.m., providing a comedic relief to all the football talk.
