There’s nothing better to celebrate Americans’ dedicated work ethic and labor achievements with than fireworks. It’s a classic and illuminating show of pride and sense of accomplishment, and therefore must be celebrated as such. The City of Boston, along with its partners the Boston Harbor Association, Summer on the Waterfront and Boston Harbor Cruises will be lighting up the skies on Saturday, August 30.

The second annual Labor Day Fireworks program marks the the cherry-topping grand finale of the Boston Arts Festival as well as the three-month-long Summer on the Waterfront as well. To ensure the highest quality aerial display of pyrotechnics and radiance possible, the event organizers have enlisted the service of Atlas PyroVision, producers of Boston’s July 4th and First Night fireworks.

The fireworks barged is expected to be anchored just offshore from Fish Pier in the Innovation District’s Seaport. Then, come 9 p.m., the rockets will be ignited and vibrant the show will be underway.

According to The Boston Harbor Association, the clearest most unobstructed vantage points for catching the fireworks will be from “the Boston Harborwalk from Lo Presti and Piers Parks through Hyatt Boston Harbor Hotel in East Boston; the Boston Harborwalk from Fort Point Channel through the Blue Hills Bank Pavillion on the Seaport; Castle Island in South Boston or by making reservations at waterfront restaurants.”

But if you’re more interested in getting so up close and personal to the fireworks that it seems as if their ashy remnants will fall all around you, check out Boston Harbor Cruises for a late night tryst in Boston Harbor with a beautiful display and breezy New England night.

See you there.
