I don’t know anyone in Boston who doesn’t love jm Curley’s uniquely themed menus and creative culinary options. And fortunately for Boston, we can experience the delicious and versatile restaurant menu anytime we want. But as of this Sunday, it seems the rest of America will soon realize what they’ve been missing. Executive Chef Samuel Monsour of jm Curley will be featured this Sunday night on the Food Network show, Guy’s Grocery Games, with Guy Fieri.

The premise behind the TV show is a high stakes cooking competition between four chefs. According to the Food Network, four chefs must run through the grocery store aisles facing “real-world challenges” like out-of-stock ingredients or “having to create a masterpiece when you can only cook with 5 items or less” or even a drastically low spending budget. But remarkably, the chefs somehow manage to create masterpieces show after show.

Each week the four chefs battle it out to “shop, prepare and plate” three courses in the kitchen, which also happens to be in the grocery store. The winning chef brings home $20,000 (not bad) and in my opinion, totally worth that chaotic trip through the grocery store aisles.

According to the preview (below), Chef Monsour explains that he’s doing the show to “bring home some bread” and help buy a home with his wife. jm Curley’s chef will face 3 other contestants: a line manager from San Diego, a private chef and caterer from Los Angeles, and a baking entrepreneur from Brentwood, CA. Quite the interesting mix.

Watch the preview below and tune in to the Food Network this Sunday at 8p.m to watch the Boston chef take home the bread (we hope).
