With the Marathon only two days away, our city is certainly pulsing with energy. But before the 118th Boston Marathon descends upon our city this Monday, we recommend stepping outside and taking advantage of everything that Boston has to offer today. Well, maybe not everything – but at least one of these five fun events happening in and around town. Whether it’s pre-Boston Marathon activities or a wine party – there are plenty of options for how to spend your Saturday.

Frostan Marathon

In honor of the Boston Marathon, Frost Ice Bar will be hosting their own bar crawl benefiting the One Fund. Starting at noon, participants will barhop through Central Wharf, Sterling’s, The Black Rose, Mija, Warehouse Bar & Grille, Battery Park, Coogans, and Stadium. There are still tickets available so buy yours before they’re gone!

Swan Boats

The Swan Boats are back! At 10 a.m. this morning, Mayor Marty Walsh hosted the first Swan Boat ride of the season. The rides will be available from April 19 to September 21 for visitors and Boston residents (you know you want to go).

Boston Marathon Carbo Load at South Street Diner

If you’re looking to load up on your pre-marathon carbs, you’re in luck. South Street Diner will be serving all-you-can-eat pancakes “of all varieties” for only $5. The carbo load meal lasts from 5 p.m. today to 10 p.m. tomorrow, Sunday, April 20.

Wine Riot

Love wine and a good time? Then I highly recommend heading to Wine Riot happening today at the Park Plaza Castle. You can sip your way through some of the world’s best vinos right here in the Hub. And – believe it or not – there are still tickets to left to the event, so grab yours now.

“To Boston With Love Community Day” at the MFA

Today from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. the MFA will open its doors to Boston families, runners and spectators for free. Visitors can sign a special panel for the America 4 Boston Prayer Canvas, which will be unveiled at the Boston Red Sox game this Sunday, April 20. Also, the museum will present “To Boston With Love” at the Shapiro Family Courtyard through April 30. The exhibition is a display of more than 1700 hand-sewn flags that were sent to Boston last spring.
