It’s here: the 118th Boston Marathon. But, if you’re reading this, you clearly didn’t plan ahead; you still need a last minute MBTA schedule and road closures rundown.
MBTA
Today, Marathon Monday, the T will close Copley and Arlington Stations for the entire day; Hynes Convention Center Station will be open, and the B section of the station will be exit only; and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. St. Mary’s, Kent St., and South St. Stations will be closed.
All Red, Orange, Green and Blue Lines will operate rush-hour level service before and after the race Monday; the Silver Line will operate regular weekday service, however, SL5 service will end at Avenue De Lafayette.
Several T bus routes will be diverted Marathon Monday, including routes to the north and south sides of Copley Station. For a full list of bus diversions, visit the MBTA.com, or scroll to the bottom.
The T’s Commuter Rail, RIDE and Boat service will run regular weekday schedules.
Marathon Monday Parking
Multiple streets will be closed Monday near the Boston Common; east and west of Massachusetts Avenue; in the Brighton-area; and in the Back Bay.
? 5 AM Streets in the vicinity of the Boston Common will close
? 6 AM Boylston Street, Hereford Street to Arlington Street will close
? 8 AM All streets east of Massachusetts Avenue (as well as Massachusetts Turnpike Exit 22) will close
? 8 AM All streets west of Massachusetts Avenue in the Kenmore Square Audubon Circle area will close
? 8:30 AM All streets in the Brighton area leading into the route will close

MBTA Bus Routes Diverted –
Route No. CT2: There will be no service to Park Drive between Brookline Avenue in Boston and Brookline Street in Cambridge. Connect at Brookline Ave and the Fens or at Vassar Street.
Route No. 8: There will be no service to Brookline Avenue between Park Drive and Kenmore Station. Bus stop connections can be made at Brookline Avenue and Pilgrim Road or at Brookline Avenue and the Fenway.
Route No. 9: Will terminate at Berkeley Street and Columbus Avenue. Bus stop connections can be made at Berkeley Street and Columbus Avenue or Arlington and Isabella Streets.
Route No. 10: Bus stop connections can be made at Back Bay Station and Clarendon Street.
Route No. 19: Will terminate at Brookline Avenue and Park Drive. There will be no service to Brookline Avenue between Park Drive and Kenmore Station. Outbound bus stop connections can be made at Brookline Avenue and Pilgrim Road. Inbound bus stop connections can be made at Brookline Avenue and Park Drive.
Route No. 39: Inbound bus stop connections can be made at Back Bay Station and Clarendon Street or Huntington Avenue and Gainsborough Street. For outbound trips, there will be no service to Huntington Avenue between Back Bay and Ruggles Street. Outbound bus stop connections can be made at Back Bay Station or Huntington Avenue and Evans Way.
Route No. 43: Tremont Street will be closed between 5:00 a.m. and approximately 10:30 a.m. During this time, there will be no service to Charles Street, Beacon Street, Park Street Station, Tremont Street, or Boylston Street Station. Bus stop connections can be made at Charles Street South and Boylston Street or at 285 Tremont Street.
Route No. 47: There will be no service on Park Drive between Brookline Avenue and the BU Bridge. Inbound bus stop connections can be made at Granite Street and Brookline Street in Cambridge. Outbound bus stop connections can be made at Brookline Avenue and the Fenway.
Route No. 52: Will terminate at Newton Center and return to Dedham. There will be no service to Center Street between Langley Road-Newton Center and Watertown Yard. Connect at Center Street and Langley Road.
Route No. 55: The entire route is completely suspended until the completion of the Marathon.
Route No. 57: There will be no service to Kenmore Station or to Commonwealth Avenue between Kenmore and the BU Bridge. Outbound bus stop connections can be made at Commonwealth Avenue and Buick Street. For service between Kenmore and Buick Street, customers are encouraged to take the Green Line. Inbound bus stop connections can be made at Commonwealth Avenue and St. Paul Street. For service beyond St. Paul Street, customers are encouraged to take the Green Line.
Route No. 59: There will be no service on Walnut Street between Newton Highlands and Newtonville. Inbound and Outbound bus stop connections can be made at Newton Highlands or at Walnut Street and Newtonville Avenue.
Route No. 60: There will be no service to Brookline Avenue between Park Drive and Kenmore Station. Bus stop connections can be made at Brookline Avenue and Pilgrim Road or Brookline Avenue and the Fenway.
Route No. 62: Due to the Lexington Patriots’ Day Parade, the Lexington Center stop is omitted between 12: p.m. and 5 p.m. Inbound bus stop connections can be made at Massachusetts Avenue and Worthen Street and at Marrett Road and Massachusetts Avenue.
Route No. 65: There will be no service to Brookline Avenue between Park Drive and Kenmore Station or between Commonwealth Avenue and Brookline Village. Bus stop connections can be made at Brookline Avenue and Pilgrim Road, Brookline Avenue and the Fenway, or at Corey Street for service between Commonwealth Avenue and Brighton Center.
Route No. 66: There will be no service on Harvard Street between Union Square in Allston and Brookline Village. Service will run between Cambridge Street in Union Square, Brighton, to Harvard Square as well as from Brookline Village at Boylston Street to Dudley Square.
Route No. 67: Due to the Arlington Patriots’ Day Celebration, Massachusetts Avenue will be closed from Bates Street (Arlington Center) to Park Avenue (Arlington Heights). There will be no service to Route 2, Arlington Center, or Mill Street. Connect at Alewife Station or Summer and Mill Streets.
Route No. 76: Due to the Lexington Patriots’ Day Parade, the Lexington Center stop is omitted between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. Inbound bus stop connections can be made at Marrett Road and Worthen Street or Marrett Road and Massachusetts Avenue.

Route No. 86: There will be no service to Cleveland Circle Station (Green Line C-Branch)/Reservoir Station (Green Line D-Branch) or Chestnut Hill Avenue between Cleveland Circle and Winshop Street. Inbound and Outbound bus stop connections can be made at Winshop Street in Brighton.
Route No. 94: Due to the Ride of Paul Revere Reenactment between 11:30 a.m. and approximately 12:30 p.m., connect at Main Street at High Street or at Winthrop Street at High Street.
Route No. 95: Due to the Ride of Paul Revere Reenactment between 11:30 a.m. and approximately 12:30 p.m., connect at Main Street at High Street or Winthrop Street at High Street.
Route No. 96: Due to the Ride of Paul Revere Reenactment between 11:30 a.m. and approximately 12:30 p.m., connect at Main Street at High Street or Winthrop Street at High Street.
Route No. 101: Due to the Ride of Paul Revere Reenactment between 11:30 a.m. and approximately 12:30 p.m., connect at Main Street at High Street or Winthrop Street at High Street.
Route No. 134: Due to the Ride of Paul Revere Reenactment between 11:30 a.m. and approximately 12:30 p.m., connect at Main Street at High Street or Winthrop Street at High Street.
Route No. 170: Will make stops at Dudley Square and Back Bay Stations, but will be diverted off of its normal routing. From Dudley Square Station, the bus will stay on Washington Street, take a left at Melnea Cass Boulevard, turn right on Tremont Street, turn left at West Dedham Street to Dartmouth Street, turn right at Stuart Street, turn right on Clarendon Street to Back Bay, turn right on Columbus Avenue, turn right on Dartmouth Street, and make a left to the Mass Pike entrance. From Burlington, the bus will take the Mass Pike to the South Station exit, turn left at Kneeland Street, turn right at Charles Street South, turn left at Park Plaza, stay left for Stuart Street to Columbus Avenue, stopping at Columbus Avenue and Dartmouth Street for Back Bay Station, turn left at Melnea Cass Boulevard, and turn right on Washington Street to Dudley Square Station.
Route No. 350: Due to the Arlington Patriots’ Day Celebration, Massachusetts Avenue will be closed from Bates Street (Arlington Center) to Park Avenue (Arlington Heights) from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Connect at Massachusetts Avenue and Bates Road or Mystic Avenue and Medford Street.
Route No. 502: The entire route is completely suspended for the entire day.
Route No. 503: The entire route is completely suspended for the entire day.
Route No. 504: There will be no service to Stuart Street or the Copley Square area. All Route No. 504 buses will go directly to Federal and Franklin Streets.
Silver Line SL5: Tremont Street will be closed from 5:00 a.m. until approximately 10:30 a.m. During this time, Silver Line-Downtown Crossing/Temple Street service will terminate at Avenue De Lafayette. There will be no service to Temple Place or Tremont Street between Park and Boylston Streets. Bus stop connections can be made at Chinatown Station (Washington and Essex Streets) or at Tufts Medical Center Station on Washington Street.
