MassDOT is expected to vote to raise fares Wednesday afternoon, WHDH reports.
Bus and subway fares would jump 5 cents for students and seniors and 10 cents for the rest of us.

Commuter rail and link passes will each cost $5 more.
MassDOT proposed the hikes in March, stating at the time that fare increases could generate upwards of $24 million in revenue for the T. If approved, fare hikes will take effect July 1.
