Let me guess: You’re reading this while either waiting for an MBTA bus or train, or you’re on one crammed between several people while stuck on the road or underground. I completely empathize with you and your frustrating morning commute (and yesterday’s, and the foreseeable future’s) but if you can believe it, some people aren’t agonizing.
Now, I’m not trying to rub it in. But some people are actually getting along just fine with public transit this morning. How long it will last, though, is another question entirely.
“Please be advised that MBTA services will continue to be impacted by the effects of a week’s worth of heavy snow, frigid temperatures and icy conditions,” MBTA spokesperson Joe Pesaturo told BostInno. “Delays will be unavoidable. We ask that customers dress warmly, leave plenty of travel time and purchase their round trip travel fare in advance.”
With that in mind, maybe we can let these commuters revel in their unlikely smooth commute this morning? Because let’s face it, chances are this won’t happen for them again.
Update: it worked. #MBTA

Red Line #MBTA moving. Passengers mostly being civil but for this one whining seated young man complaining about people “hoarding” seats.

Shoutout to all the cheerful/nice T operators. You’re doing the best you can with 3 feet of snow and a parade. #MBTA
