When it comes to looking for a job in Boston, we’re pretty lucky folks. Our city has some of the most diverse and innovative companies. From the startup and tech sector to the marketing and advertising sphere (among others), there are plenty of opportunities popping up all over the city.

Which is probably why earlier this month, it was no surprise that Boston ranked as the seventh happiest city for work in 2014. Those Boston residents that are employed are clearly pretty happy about it.

And when it comes to looking for a job, we have reason to be pretty satisfied about that as well. WalletHub recently released their 2014 report on the Best & Worst Cities to Find a Job, and found that Boston ranked 27 out of 60 on the list.

The company analyzed the relative employment opportunities in the 60 largest U.S. cities using different metrics such as job openings per capita, industry variety, cost of living, the prevalence of employer-provided health benefits, etc.

They found the 30 best and 30 worst cities to find a job in the U.S. and fortunately, Boston made the former category – but barely. While perhaps not ranked as high as we may have expected, we still live in one of the best cities for job prospects. And that’s good enough for me.

Here’s how the top 30 U.S. cities for finding a job stacked up:

1. Fort Worth, TX 11. Raleigh, NC 21. Tulsa, OK
2. Washington, DC 12. Corpus Christi, TX 22. Omaha, NE
3. Tampa, FL 13. Aurora, CO 23. San Antonio, TX
4. Arlington, TX 14. Phoenix, AZ 24. Santa Ana, CA
