If you truly love themed brunches, then we have the perfect holiday one for you (alcohol included). Apparently, a very large, very jolly man in a red suit (i.e. Santa Claus) will be making his way to Harvard Square’s Beat Hotel restaurant for their first annual Santa Brunch. It doesn’t matter how tired you are next Saturday, this holiday brunch should not be missed.

Because along with the Santa Brunch, Beat Hotel will also feature live holiday music from Bailey Cunningham and plenty of jazzed up food and drink. But enough with the talk, let’s jump to the details.

It’s Tipsy Time — Here are the Brunch Buzz Deets

When

Not this weekend but the next – Beat Hotel is hosting their Santa Brunch on Saturday December 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The jazz music will be played from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Where

Not quite the North Pole – but it’ll do. Beat Hotel is located near the Harvard Square T stop at 13 Brattle Street, Cambridge.

What to Eat

If you’ve already tried their unique Mexican tofu scramble, then I recommend the quiche made with spinach, kale, artichoke & feta. The Christmas brunch spot serves up both traditional brunch items like eggs benedict, as well as non-traditional brunch fare. One thing’s for sure – you can’t go wrong with Beat Hotel’s jolly brunch (holiday music included).

The Brunch Buzz Drink

Regardless of whether you’ve been “naughty or nice,” Santa’s presence at Beat Hotel calls for a drink. And fortunately, the brunch spot offers a wide-array of hand-crafted cocktail options. For this special Christmas brunch, we recommend the Electric Sidecar with Clear Creek apple brandy, Fruit Lab orange organic liqueur and sour mix. Or, if you want something simpler, try ordering their Kir made with Qupe Vinyard Chardonnay and Cassis. Here’s wishing you a very merry brunch!
