Another work week has come and gone, making you one step closer to the holiday season (and that much-needed Thanksgiving break). Rejoice! But before all of those obligatory, ugly-sweater parties start to take over your once ho-hum weekend nights, you may want to take advantage of some of Boston’s newly opened restaurants and bars. Especially the ones that stay open after midnight on a Friday or Saturday.

Which is why, today we recommend that you hop in a cab and head to Somerville to experience one of Boston’s newest restaurants, Sarma. And if you’re already a fan of Chef Ana Sortun’s other restaurants, Oleana and Sofra Bakery, then we’re pretty sure her third venture will hit the spot.

Sarma’s spiced cocktails featuring cardamom, ginger and sage (among others) will certainly spice up your night and fortunately, are served until 1 a.m. And if you’re also experiencing some late-night hunger pangs, you can order from their late-night selection of Middle Eastern delicacies until midnight.

The Middle Eastern restaurant and bar is filled with unique details, which together create a vibrant, Mediterranean-style ambience. The hanging light fixtures and colorful wall-hanging plates only add to the already vibrant surroundings.

But the best part about Sarma’s late-night scene is hands-down their cocktail selection. So, if you’re somehow still awake come 11p.m. tonight, I suggest imbibing on one of their 7 unique and spiced-up cocktails. And if you have to pick just one drink, make it the Elettaria which is the perfect combination of rum, lime, cardamom and ginger.

I know it’s still early in the day but at least you know where to be once the clock strikes 12. So plan your night accordingly.
