The first week of November is a solemn reminder that apple picking season is officially over. Yes, we had our fun frolicking through the orchards and indulging in all the apple ciders that various New England farms had to offer. And of course who could forget the numerous #fall instagram photos we captured with our autumn-like filters. Alas, it was fun while it lasted. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still enjoy fall’s apple harvest as the weather gets cooler (and frigid).
Many restaurants in and around Boston are still offering dishes that feature everyone’s favorite, short-lived hanging fall fruit. Here are 10 Boston restaurants that have fresh apples on their menu in some form or another. So whether you’re craving a salad and soup, a heavy entree or a sweet dessert, get your last bite of apple flavor this year while it lasts. Just think of these dishes as delayed apple gratification.
