So,your initial plan to go to Head of the Charles bright and early this morning was derailed thanks to last night’s escapades. Hey, we feel your pain. Fortunately, it’s not too late for brunch and some Head of the Charles action. In fact, there’s still plenty of time to make your way down to the Charles — just check out our interactive map so that you don’t get lost in the crowd.

Once you make your way over to the Cambridge side, head to Harvard Square for Russell House Tavern’s brunch. Just a hop, skip and jump away from the rowing action, this brunch offers a brunch buzz drink that you’ll have to see (and drink) to believe: the Cereal Cocktail.

But enough with the fluff, you’re ready to hit the town. Here’s everything you need to know about your Sunday brunch.

It’s Tipsy Time — Here are the Brunch Buzz Deets

When

Russell House Tavern brunch begins at 11a.m. and lasts until 4p.m. — leaving you plenty of flex time to eat, drink and spectate at today’s event.

Where

Located at 14 JFK Street in Cambridge, MA.

What to Eat

While you’re here, make sure to order the Brunch’s E.B.L.T on a Croissant. This breakfast sandwich comes with 2 eggs over easy, Vermont Cheddar, lettuce, tomato, crispy bacon, mayo and home fries. Or an order of the Stuffed Brioche French Toast. This french toast is stuffed with Nutella (oh my gawd), Candied Filberts and torched banana. For those watching their calorie intake during brunch (good for you), the restaurant also offers up salads, yogurts and even a raw bar.

The Brunch Buzz Drink

We’ve finally reached the best part about this brunch: the cereal cocktails. These cereal infused spirits are a result of bar manager, Sam Gabrielli’s, efforts to make Russell House Tavern brunch cocktails a bit more creative than your typical bloody mary.

The restaurant offers four “Magically Delicious” libations including:

Applejacks Rose: Applejacks infused Applejack, house made grenadine and lime juice

Cinnamon Toast Mudslide: Cinnamon Toast Crunch infused Bacardi 8, Luxardo Espresso and St. Brendans Irish Cream

Golden Graham Manhattan: Golden Grahams infused Jack Daniels, Cocchi Vermouth di Torino and Angostura Bitters

Coco Puff Smash: Cocoa Puff infused Green Charteuse, Tempus Fugit Crčme de Cacao, lemon wedges and mint

Surprisingly, each cereal drink taste like a full-bodied cocktail with the actual flavor of the cereal coming through at the end of your sip. We’re pretty sure these drinks will make you go “coo-coo for Cocoa Puffs” — or at least, the cocktail will anyway.

Let us know which cereal cocktail flavor you’ll be sipping on this weekend.
