In my burger-loving opinion, there’s nothing better than an amazing patty melt. Sure, the standard burger is great – but there’s something about a warm hamburger patty covered in melted cheese with two buttered-up slices of bread on both sides that just can’t be beat.

Maybe it’s the fact that patty melts are not so easy to come by – after all, most restaurants don’t have them on the menu. But whether it’s their scarcity or drool-worthiness, one thing’s for sure – we are really excited about Snappy Patty’s coming to the Boston area.

Eater Boston is reporting that a new restaurant, Snappy Pattys, is “on the verge of opening in West Medford.” The restaurant’s menu was featured in the Medford Patch, which gave readers a sneak peek at the future eatery’s offerings.

Patty melt fans can expect six different kinds of patty melts including a classic, bourbanq, jalapeno, California, Texan, and plain. The menu also includes appetizers like Razor Clam Chowder and grilled watermelon salad. Seasonal small plates include ricotta gnocchi, buttermilk fried chicken, and more. The new restaurant will also offer a brunch menu.

According to the Medford Path, restaurateur Adam Gazzola and chef Nick Dowling are the two patty melt masterminds behind the West Medford eatery. Chef Nick Dowling previously worked at Citizen Public House, Franklin Cafe and Franklin Southie.

The restaurant will open at 454 High St. in West Medford. For more information on Snappy Pattys, check their website and Facebook page.
