Sure, there are numerous places to find late-night Asian fare in Boston – many of them – quite delicious. But there’s a certain late night ramen spot in Back Bay that will make you wonder just how in the world you haven’t stumbled upon it yet.

Because on Friday and Saturday night from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m., the kitchen at Chef Ken Oringer’s Uni Sashimi Bar, located in the lounge of Clio, is still alive and kickin’ with fresh seafood and ramen.

And a bowl of this late-night ramen doesn’t cost much at all. One bowl of ramen will only set you back $10 – making it perfectly acceptable to grab a last-minute late night cab to Uni.

While the ramen offerings change nightly according to the sashimi chef, Tony Messina, you can typically find a few menu staples including: Umami Ramen, a rich dish of barbecued unagi, daikon, scallion, enoki and nori, topped with a two-hour egg; Traditional Ramen, an authentic dashi/chicken broth with pork, miso, grated ginger, daikon, scallion, enoki and nori, topped with a two-hour egg; Vegetarian Ramen, an earthy broth fortified with dried mushrooms, white miso and parmesan rinds, topped with fresh vegetables.

And if that doesn’t sound worth staying up for, I don’t know what does.
