Rise and shine! It’s time to officially celebrate the Boston Red Sox victory all morning long. The Duck Boat rolling parade will be making its way down Boylston Street beginning at 10a.m. today and proceed to the Museum of Science. Finally, the rolling duck boats will end with a splash into that “dirty water.” But as you fight your way through the thousands of people hoping to catch a glimpse of a Duck Boat, you may find yourself thinking — I need a drink.

Yes, you do. After all, 1oa.m. is a perfectly acceptable time to sip on brunch cocktails and toast to this one amazing week. Celebrate your Boston Red Sox over a mimosa and bloody mary buzz. Here’s where to find the best brunch cocktails near or directly along the route:

Solas Irish Pub

Pull up a chair at this this Boylston Street Irish Pub and enjoy a pint of early morning Guinness as the parade rolls through. Or, imbibe on their delicious cocktail known as, “The Reading” with Buffalo Trace bourbon, honey syrup and rhubarb bitters. You really can’t go wrong with either of these picks.

The Met at Back Bay

Located right off Newbury Street, this restaurant is just a hop, skip and jump away from the parade but it’s the worth the extra block-long walk. You can stop by before or after the parade to get your Bloody Mary fix. The brunch spot recently opened their “Crafty Mary” bar, which features numerous Bloody Mary ingredients all at your disposal. You can customize your Bloody Mary with your choice of spirit, “fixings” (mini burger,  olives, etc.), rim, mixer and extra heat options such as Sriracha. The brunch is open from 9a.m. to 3:30p.m.

Bistro Du Midi

This Boylston Street favorite located near the Arlington T stop is a prime viewing location for the parade. Besides an excellent brunch, I highly recommend Bistro Du Midi’s Bellini or Mimosa. The brunch starts at 11a.m. and lasts until 3p.m. leaving you plenty of time to get your brunch cocktail fix before the afternoon.

Joes American Bar & Grille

This cute Newbury Street bar and grille opens bright and early at 9a.m. today for brunch. The glass encased bar makes for a great stop before or after the parade and is only a block from Boylston Street. Some of their Brunch cocktails are my absolute favorite including the Peach Bellini, Joe’s Screwdriver and Spicy Bloody Mary. All sure to wake you up before noon.

Scholars

This School Street bar right off of Tremont Street features their special brunch cocktail: the Harveywallbanger. This drink includes Ketel Oranje, aperol, yellow chartreuse, galliano, orange juice and lemon juice. Yum. The bar opens at 11a.m. and stays open all day.

The Pour House

This Boylston street staple opens bright and early at 8a.m. The bar’s location grants you easy access to the parade. You’re sure to see a duck boat or two at this bar and brunch spot. While you’re there try one of their Bloody Marys or Irish Coffees with your pancakes and omelettes.
