Even fans of heavy snow might not want to read this: Another winter storm could arrive in Boston Thursday night.

An early look at the forecast calls for light snow throughout the day on Thursday, with accumulations of an inch or less expected during the day. But come nightfall, a winter system may settle over the Boston area, bringing with it yet another wave of snow.

There’s an 80 percent chance of snow Thursday night as of now, with accumulations of three to five inches in the forecast. Snow is expected to last throughout the overnight hours and into Friday morning.

And if that’s not enough, a more severe storm – this sounds like a comedy sketch at this point, but it is what it is – could come barreling into Boston Saturday night. This one could dump an additional 5 to 8 inches of snow before all is said and done Sunday night.

If the extended forecast holds, Boston could be looking at an estimated 8 to 13 inches of additional snow to fall between Thursday night and Sunday night.

And I’m spent.
