The above modified tweet from Boston weather guru Dave Epstein (@growingwisdom) suggests there could be more snow on the way. A lot more.
Update 8:30 a.m.: As of Wednesday morning, it projected snowfall totals for the next seven days stands at 18 inches. The projected 10-day total between Monday, February 2 to Thursday, February 12 is upwards of 25 inches.

Earlier: Speaking at a Tuesday morning press conference, Mayor Marty Walsh said that if the snow continues to fall at a historic clip, the city’s snow removal budget would be smashed.
Another 6 inches of snow may be headed Boston’s way Thursday, the mayor said, referencing early forecasts. Those 6 inches could be only a small portion of what could fall over the next 10 days.
Epstein’s modified tweet was originally posted by Michael Ventrice, an operational scientist from Boston.
Just *1 fcst but it’s comical. 12Z ECMWF op drops another 25″+ in the #Boston area through Day 10. Ok I’ve had enough pic.twitter.com/bXmY1Wdgr0

Yes, what Ventrice is suggesting, after looking at that radar image, is that 25 more inches could fall in the Boston area over the next 10 days. Naturally, that caused some concern: Epstein’s modified tweet made its way to Reddit Boston, under the headline “NO.”
In a seven-day stretch, which included Winter Storm Juno and Winter Storm Linus, Boston received a record breaking 40-plus inches of snow, Mayor Walsh said Tuesday morning. If 25 more inches were to fall in the next week and a half, that would bring total Boston snow accumulations to more than 5 feet in just about a half a month.

According to Weather Underground, there’s a chance some snow could fall during the day on Wednesday. The forecast suggests snow could intensify Wednesday night, and last throughout the overnight hours into Thursday morning.
But the biggest threat of snow could be a system expected to arrive on Sunday. Stayed tuned.
