A Boston goaltender is raffling off a Boston Strong goalie mask autographed by Boston Bruins netminder Tuukka Rask to benefit the One Fund.

As we reported in June, Kyle Acomb commissioned a mask from Dom Malerba from Pro’s Choice, a mask-making company north of Boston whose client list includes Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask. Montreal artist David Leroux of Diel Airbrush painted the mask, which Rask later autographed. It currently resides in Forum restaurant — ground zero of last year’s Marathon bombings.

“I wanted to do something different; something that was personal,” Acomb told InGoal Magazine.

The grand prize of the raffle, organized by Bruins legend Ray Bourque’s Celebrities for Charity, includes Acomb’s mask, two luxury suite tickets to the next Bruins home playoff game and two custom painted Boston Strong Bose headsets.

The mask features the names and portraits of the bombing’s four casualties — Krystle Campbell, Martin William Richard, Lingzi Lu, and policeman Sean Collier. Along the jawline of either side are the names of those injured in the attacks, with the Boston Marathon logo painted on the chin. On the left side is a medal from the 117th Boston Marathon, and on the right, the words “We are one, Boston Strong,” with an American flag.

The backplate features a line from President Barack Obama during his visit to Boston following the tragedy: “We carry on, we race, we strive.” Alongside the quote is a Boston Strong ribbon and a faint Boylston Street sign.

Raffle tickets are $2 each and can be purchased here.
