You may think that the best time to visit Cape Cod or Martha’s Vineyard is in the summer, but think again. These nearby destinations are prime for visiting once the tourists have fled the scene – especially during the holidays. And with the holiday season upon us, there’s plenty to do in preparation for the Christmas festivities – especially in Martha’s Vineyard. So if you feel like heading out of town this weekend to escape the city, then by all means pack your bags and head to the seaport village of Edgartown for their 32nd Annual Christmas in Edgartown Celebration.

32nd Annual Christmas in Edgartown Celebration

If you’re looking for a great way to immerse yourself in the holiday spirit and get your fill of yule tide joy, then (weather permitting) I highly recommend heading to this adorable waterfront village filled with galleries, boutiques and restaurants. That’s because Edgartown’s 32nd annual Christmas celebration will be taking place this coming weekend.

According to the website, the events kick off on Friday, December 13th “with the lighting of the lighthouse and continues through Sunday with the Great Chowder Cook Off, a Christmas Parade, and other events through this historic town.” Check the list of all of the various activities going on in the town this weekend.
