Good news for those of you who can’t find the time to track down food trucks during the day! Boston StrEATS, the first-ever weekly evening food truck program is launching this Thursday, August 14 in the South End’s Franklin Square.

The event will feature eight food trucks and live music from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday and will mark the first of many Boston StrEATS events to come. According to a release from Food Truck Festivals of New England, these evening food truck events are already happening in other big cities including San Francisco, LA, Miami, D.C. and Ann Arbor.

Anne-Marie Aigner, founder of Food Truck Festivals of New England and the organizer of Boston StrEATS stated in a release that “this has been a true team effort and we are excited to bring a great group of food trucks to one of the City’s nicest parks on a weekly basis.”

Admission to Boston StrEATS will be free and open to the public. Attendees can expect to see eight gourmet food trucks this Thursday including The Chubby Chickpea, M & M BBQ Ribs, Captain Marden’s Cod Squad, The Pasta Pot, Frozen Hoagies, Trolley Dogs, Evan’s NY Style Deli Food Truck, and The Taco Truck.

So, take advantage of this nightly food truck event while the weather is still warm. For those interested, Franklin Square is located on Washington Street between East Newton and East Brookline streets in the South End.
