The heat wave may be over, but the weather forecast for this week predicts rain, rain and more rain. If you’re looking to get out of the house during the dreary days ahead, why not plan a trip to Boston’s Museum of Science? According to American MENSA – a team of people whose IQ scores rank in the top two percent – the Hub is home to one of the top 10 science museums in the United States.

This may come as a surprise to Bostonians who have experienced the Museum of Science firsthand. The museum can be a bit underwhelming, but maybe that’s just the name of the game when it comes to science museums. Or maybe I’m just not a fan of science. That could be it, too.

MENSA published a graphic detailing their decision-making process, revealing that while educators ranked the Museum of Science, Boston at #9, scientists were slightly more generous, putting it at #8.
