Brass launched in September of last year, a new e-commerce company offering a line of direct-to-consumer dresses that are high quality, but ring in at a more affordable price point than their designer counterparts. With the launch, Brass’s founders, Katie Doyle and Jay Hallstein, released five styles: a fit and flare, a sheath, a shirt and two maxi dresses.

Now, after building their brand in the months after the launch, Hallstein and Doyle have released a sixth dress for a limited time. The Brass sweater dress will be available online for purchase until Friday at 5 p.m., so if you want in on this direct-to-consumer line, act fast.

The founders gathered information to make sure their next product was the best it could be by asking their customers survey questions, taking polls and exchanging emails. According to a blog post on Brass, customer feedback helped them decide the style of the dress (a double-knit, 100 percent cotton sweater dress), the color (gray), and some modifications (a switch from light gray to charcoal).

Doyle and Hallstein plan to continue to crowdsource their decisions with the customers in order to keep the growing business personal. To help debut the sweater dress, which retails online for $78, they recruited local photographer Cambria Grace to star in a video that captures what the dress is like.
