It’s no secret that Frank DePasquale, the restaurateur behind several of Boston’s best restaurants (including my faves Bricco and Mare Oyster Bar) recently added yet another delicious addition to his group. Bricco Salumeria & Pasta Shoppe recently opened its doors to the public at Board Alley, off of Hanover Street in Boston’s North End.

DePasquale stated in a release that “Opening Bricco Salumeria and Pasta Shoppe next to Bricco Panetteria was a logical decision… Now, guests can pick up a loaf of our delicious bread and then stop into for some antipasti, sauce and pasta to make themselves an Italian feast at home.”

An official source tells us that the pasta shop “offers homemade pastas made daily, homemade sauces, homemade mozzarella, cured Italian meats and cheeses, as well as a selection of Italian specialties like olive oils and vinegars.” Yum.

And for those who walk in hungry, the shop also offers a full Italian sandwich menu, including: the classic Italian, Italian tuna, oven roasted turkey, chicken parmesan, eggplant parmesan, meatball, the Panino lady, and the original Panino. That alone is worth a trip down Hanover.

But if you’re stopping by after work, make sure you get there early. The shop is only open from 11a.m.to 7p.m. daily.
