After last night’s World Series game, you need a drink. Not to mention a serious brunch — and we don’t blame you. Perhaps, even, a brunch filled with crispy bacon, fried eggs and buttermilk pancakes? If you find yourself emphatically shaking your head yes, then rise and shine and make your way over to Saloon in Davis Square for their new brunch menu.

Launched last weekend, Saloon’s Executive Chef Jonathan Schick crafted a brand new brunch menu that perfectly fits the pre-prohibition era style. The cocktails, the food and the ambience all create a unique brunch experience that will make your trip out of bed worth the effort.

It’s Tipsy Time — Here are the Brunch Buzz Deets

When

Saloon brunch begins at 11a.m. and lasts until 2:30p.m.

Where

The mouthwatering brunch is located at 255 Elm Street in Somerville, MA.

What to Eat

Whether you have a brunch sweet tooth or are craving something a bit more savory, this menu has you covered. The must-try brunch classic — buttermilk pancakes — are served with seasonal fruit. And the restaurant’s spicy & salty donuts with chocolate sauce will satisfy any hankering for sweets (long before Halloween). For food, I recommend a twist on a classic: Beef Bacon Sliders. Not convinced? The sliders come with Tomato jam, fried egg, brioche bun and home fry mille feuille. Delish. And you can wash it all down with one of their sip-tastic brunch cocktails like the ones below.

The Brunch Buzz Drink

The best part of brunch has arrived (finally) and Saloon isn’t messing around. For a girly cocktail, try their “Egg White Pink Margherita.” The drink is concocted using egg whites, tequila, lime, triple sec, sugar and bitters. Or, if bourbon is more your morning style (good for you), drink either their “Gentleman’s Buck” (bourbon, OJ, ginger beer, lime, bitter) or try “The Boardwalk” (Bulliet bourbon, Cynar, Punt e mas and Campari). These creative and tasty $9 cocktails are sure to dull the pain from the night before — and that’s something we can all raise our glasses to this Sunday morning.
