Boston has no shortage of stellar events. Why? Amazing event producers, engaged audiences, incredible venues, and sweet swag are just a few reasons. But what about the brands behind them? Some of Boston’s best known brands have created events that near holiday status in the Hub, including Harpoon’s Octoberfest and HubSpot’s INBOUND marketing conference. Delivering on the goal of increasing awareness–whether it be through product sampling, killer keynotes, or just plain old fun–these events have helped put two very different brands on the map.

Harpoon currently hosts five festivals a year: the St. Patrick’s Day Festival in early March, HarpoonFest in mid-May,  the Harpoon Championships of New England BBQ at their Windsor brewery in late July, and of course, Octoberfest in both Boston and Windsor each fall. It all started, however, with Octoberfest in the fall of 1990. Their thought was that beer is meant to be enjoyed, so they went about enjoying it. The result? Harpoon Octoberfest is a beloved New England fall celebration.

As for INBOUND, well, it’s only the world’s largest gathering of inbound marketers. HubSpot helps marketers from all around the globe end the summer with a bang by learning, watching, using, talking, and networking for four whole days right here in Boston. Featuring product demos from the folks that created them, a rocking concert, and keynotes from the likes of Arianna Huffington, Seth Godin, and Nate Silver, it’s an educational and immersive experience not to be missed.
