Ghosts features a new cast–including an animated German Shepherd–who comprise a band of elite soliders known as the “Ghosts” wage a covert war against an unseen enemy. Academy Award winning screenwriter Stephen Gaghan (Traffic, funny Entourage cameo) chipped in on the script set in the not-too-distant future where the United States is no longer a global superpower.

This is the tenth installment of the C.O.D franchise by gaming publisher Activision, and is poised to become its best selling to date as it will be released on the much-anticipated rival gaming consoles Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

The Xbox One reveal event yesterday was expected to showcase just a glimpse at Microsoft’s next-generation gaming console, but viewers got more than they bargained for when Microsoft announced Ghosts along with a bevy of new and revisited franchises from Microsoft Studios and EA Sports.

Who out there is getting pumped up for the Call of Duty: Ghosts release? Do you think the trailer does any justice to the game or do you think the game will flop? Will this becoming the most successful C.O.D installment in the history of the franchise? Will this add fuel to the fire that is the rivalry between Microsoft and Sony, whose respective Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will vie for the top spot in the gaming market?
