Get ready to cheer for a local celebrity on the sidelines of the Boston Marathon this year.

Uzo Aduba, known for her role as “Crazy Eyes” on the hit Netflix series “Orange is the New Black,” will be running the 2015 Boston Marathon race on April 20. She’ll be supporting the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and running on the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge team; this morning, Aduba tweeted her enthusiasm in response to a tweet from the Jimmy Fund reporting on her participation.

Aduba was born in Medfield, Mass. and attended Boston University, where she competed on the track team. She graduated from the College of Fine Arts in 2005, and in 2012, she was cast as Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren in “Orange is the New Black,” which premiered in 2013. For her role, Aduba was nominated for a 2015 Golden Globe, along with four other Boston-born celebrities, but lost the Best Supporting Actress in a Series title to Joanne Froggatt. But in 2014, she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series.

Look out for Crazy Eyes – looking and acting decidedly less crazy, of course – on the Boston Marathon course race this year. Wondering which other celebrities have put in their 26.2 miles? Check out the list here.
