Everyone who runs the Boston Marathon is a star. From Kenya’s defending champ Rita Jeptoo breaking the course record, to Meb Keflezighi becoming the first American runner in over 30 years to win the men’s elite division, it’s already been a day that will go down in history for the Boston Marathon – for all the right reasons.

But what celebrities out of Hollywood have laced up in Boston to trek the 26.2 miles of the course? Read on for a history of celebrities who have run the Boston Marathon, with A listers, B listers and beyond, including those who participated in this year’s Boston Marathon.

Jim Wahlberg, 2014

The brother to Mark, Paul and Donnie, Jim Wahlberg is participating in this year’s Boston Marathon. We’ll see how his time fares – hopefully he hasn’t been indulging in too many Wahlburgers.

Summer Sanders, 2014

Former Olympic swimmer Summer Sanders (and Nickelodeon’s host of ‘Figure It Out’) is racing to the finish in Copley this year. Sanders also made an appearance over the weekend at the Boston Marathon Expo.

Natalie Morales, 2014

Joey McIntyre, 2014, 2013

Former New Kid on the Block, and Boston native, Joey McIntyre (pictured above in 2013) will be running the Boston Marathon for the second year in a row today. Last year, the boy-bander finished the race in 3:57:06, narrowly missing the tragedy at the finish line.

Tedy Bruschi, 2014, 2012

Former Patriot Tedy Bruschi is running again after getting one Boston Marathon under his belt in 2012. After witnessing the tragedy that happened at the finish line last year, Bruschi promised to run again in 2014, as part of Tedy’s Team. In 2012, he finished in 5:26:02.

Valerie Bertinelli, 2010

The former Jenny Craig spokeswoman, and former wife to Eddie Van Halen, inspired Jenny Craig followers and women everywhere when she ran the Boston Marathon in 2010. She finished in 5:14:37 (beating a former Patriot, at that).

Lance Armstrong, 2008

Five years before the all-star cyclist admitted to doping in 2013, Lance Armstrong ran the Boston Marathon in 2008. While he’s used to participating in races on wheels, Armstrong finished strong at 2:50:58.

Will Ferrell, 2003

Funny man Will Ferrell takes his marathoning seriously. And with 26.2 miles in front of you, you kind of have to. The actor and comedian ran a solid race with a time of 3:56:12 in 2003.

Mario Lopez, 2002

Who knew Will Ferrell could run faster than the hunky Mario Lopez? The former Saved by the Bell star and current Extra host ran the Boston Marathon in 2002 with a time of 5:41:42. Don’t worry, he redeemed his time in 2011 when he ran the NYC Marathon, finishing in 4:23:30.
