Last week Boston based mobile ad tech company Celtra’s founder and CEO, Mihael Mikek, contributed a guest post here on BostInno outlining the contributing factors set to make rich media mobile advertising take off. Today the company is announcing the new Agency Partner Program, which promises to meet the demand of agencies in delivering these types of campaigns with ease for their clients.

Celtra has built a self-service platform called AdCreator that enables publishers, ad networks, and agencies to easily create, track and optimize rich media mobile ad campaigns. Their platform enables this creation, distribution and measurement across all major mobile OS platforms (iOS, Android, Palm, Blackberry, etc.). They have already enabled rich mobile adds for well known brands like Starwood, Evian, Marriott, Volvo, Kmart, and Jones New York.

“We are the only truly self-service rich media mobile ad creation platform that an agency can use to create, optimize, and track their mobile campaigns,” COO David George explained to BostInno yesterday. “With the Celtra Agency Partner Program we are empowering agencies to be more effective with mobile advertising for their clients by giving them a platform they can use.”

Celtra designed the Agency Partner Program and a respective internal Partner Team to support agencies through the mobile ad creation process — from ideation all the way through media buying. In being part of the program, Agencies will enjoy free access to the AdCreator platform and contribute input and feedback into future AdCreator product features.

Grant Stratemeyer, VP of Business Development for Celtra, explained, “As we continue to innovate Celtra’s platform, the Celtra Agency Partner Program will enable agencies to push the creative boundaries for their clients while reaching the right audience for their media buys more seamlessly.”

Mobile marketing company Mobext and Boston’s own integrated brand agency Hill Holliday have already been working with Celtra and weighed in on their experience:

“Mobext has been working with Celtra for several months on a number of innovative campaigns. Their AdCreator platform, creative team, and rich media experience combined with our mobile advertising expertise has been a powerful combination that has helped to innovate in the industry,” said Phuc Truong, Managing Director of Mobext.

Johnny Won, head of Hill Holliday’s mobile, emerging media and gaming group remarked of the solution, “Celtra’s core expertise has been to push the envelope with innovative partnerships and capabilities. They are undoubtedly leading the field with their incredibly innovative mobile rich media ad capabilities. Our agency and clients are in a better place for working closely with Celtra.”

Celtra raised $1.2 million in seed funding in May 2009. More recently in January, they raised $5 million in Series A funding from Boston’s GrandBanks Capital and Fairhaven Capital.
