Say what you will about Charlie Baker. You may not like his politics or his persona. And sure, he’s a Republican in the true blue Democratic Commonwealth of Massachusetts. But the Harvard grad knows exactly where his loyalties truly lie. And Friday, with the Red Sox home opener, it’s with the Fenway faithful.

According to the Charlie Baker campaign, the Republican ballot nominee will be greeting Sox fans at the corner of Brookline Avenue and Yawkey Way by Fenway park Friday afternoon, at 12:00 p.m.

As any Massachusetts native can expect of his Bay State brethren, Baker’s affinity for the Sox is deep-seeded. Just check out what he posted on Facebook this morning:

Baker went as far to offer up a prediction for the season. When Boston‘s David Bernstein tweeted at local politicos for their outlook on the 2014 season, presumably for an article of his own, Baker responded with nothing but optimism.

Stay tuned to BostInno for comprehensive coverage on Friday’s game and the World Series ring ceremony, and keep checking back with us periodically to see if Baker’s Red Sox premonition reveals itself to be true.

Go Sox!
