According to inbound marketing firm HubSpot, today’s weekly HubSpot TV episode is going to be one of their most popular ever. HubSpot has 150 signups for the episode and are expecting a solid showing of 100 community members and marketers — that’s outside the company’s own employees.

Why so popular? This week’s HubSpot TV is being put on in conjunction with the book launch of Content Rules. C.C. Chapman, founder of Digital Dads, and Ann Handley, Chief Content Officer at MarketingProfs, authored the book. Both of these content celebs will be joining HubSpot TV’s hosts as special guests — and a book signing and food and drinks will follow.

BostInno spoke with HubSpot TV’s host and VP Marketing, Mike Volpe, to learn more about the book and its Boston ties:

Content Rules is an excellent book and anyone who is interested in doing more inbound marketing should read it … There are fantastic examples and lots of tips and tricks that are proven to work,” said Volpe.

After literally being published just 3 days ago, the book has already garnered 5 stars on Amazon given by 10 reviewers. It features a profile of HubSpot and many content creation examples from them, including an 8-page case study about how the company uses content as part of their own inbound marketing strategy.

“Something that I love about this book is that both authors are from Boston, and the foreword is written by David Meerman Scott, also from Boston,” explained Volpe. “It really is another example of Boston being the center of the world for the future of marketing.” Meerman Scott previously co-authored a book with HubSpot’s CEO Brian Halligan and just recently  joined the company as Marketer in Residence. “We’re super happy that Ann and CC decided to use HubSpot as one of the main examples of a company ‘doing it right’ in their book.”

Here’s more from the back cover of the book:

“To market your business, reach new customers, and create long-lasting loyalty, you need one indispensable element: CONTENT.

Whether it’s bite-sized tweets that allow you to forge relationships on Twitter, blog posts that give your readers must-have advice, ebooks or white papers that engage (and don’t bore), videos that share the human side of your company, interactive webinars that deliver a valuable learning experience, or podcasts that can be downloaded and listened to on the fly (and more!) . . . now more than ever, content rules!”

New to HubSpot TV? The show aims to recap all the week’s hottest inbound marketing news and is hosted by HubSpot’s VP Inbound Marketing Mike Volpe and Product Owner Karen Rubin. Can’t physically make it to HubSpot’s offices? No problem. The weekly show streams live at 4pm every Friday here.

The episode is currently sold out, but we bet if you do some good inbound marketing over Twitter or on HubSpot’s blog they’ll grant you admission!
