Kristen Stewart – a self-described tomboy who famously favors chucks over heels – might not be the first person you’d pick to front a high-fashion campaign. Yet, her sepia-tinged images from Chanel’s Paris-Dallas collection surfaced today, and the results are stunning.

Now, this isn’t the first time the actress has fronted a major fashion campaign (she spent two years as the brand ambassador for Balenciaga’s Rosabotanica fragrance). But when she was chosen as the face of Chanel, well, I had my doubts. After poring over these images, however, I’m jumping on the KStew bandwagon. I mean, let’s face it: head-to-spur Western clothing could come off as hokey, but she brings just the right gritty intensity the look needs.

So when it comes to Kristen Stewart, high-fashion model, I’m sold. (Along with anything SXSW-related.)
