Former Patriots wide receiver Donte Stallworth was wide awake early on Thursday morning, apparently with the idea that he was going to coach members of the Super Bowl XLIX champions to ask hard hitting questions during their White House visit. The team, who will be honored by President Obama for their dramatic comeback win against the Seahawks to secure New England’s fourth Super Bowl victory, is scheduled to meet the Commander in Chief at 2 p.m.

And Stallworth, who was mystifyingly named a National Security Fellow at the Huffington Post briefly last fall, joked on Twitter (well, we assume it’s a joke) about coaching Patriots players to ask President Obama about the “drones, PATRIOT ACT, Yemen, etc.”

Of course, the perception of Stallworth’s own personal beliefs on world issues have generally been defined by tweets like this one from 2009:

It’s slightly jarring to think that this tweet is still live on the internet, and hasn’t been deleted.

Stallworth, who played in the NFL from 2002-2008 and again from 2008-2012, spent two seasons with the Patriots. Notably, his career was interrupted after he killed a man while driving drunk in 2009. He served 30 days in prison for manslaughter.
