As it was with day one, E3 day two is packed full to the brim with new announcements and demonstrations. Riding the wave of hype from yesterdays display of the likes of Call of Duty: Ghosts, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, and Need for Speed Rivals will be a lineup of games just as impressive, if not more. For today’s presentation of E3 day two, watch out for Wolfenstein: The New World Order, Killzone: Mercenary, and Splinter Cell: Blacklist to headline the bevy of games poised to take the stage, with a little bit of everything for everybody else sprinkled in between.

Wolfenstein: The New World Order

Created by MachineGames and published by Bethesda Softworks, Wolfenstein is set in 1960s Europe and tells an alternate history of the world in which the Nazis prevailed during WWIIBack in action is protagonist B.J. Blazkowicz, who the user assumes the role of, ain an attempt to infiltrate Nazi strongholds and overthrow the tyrannical regime. Wolfenstein execs will take to stage 1 at E3 today to announce the games release and on which console it will be carried by. It will be a single-player gameplay experience only.

Killzone: Mercenary

This FPS game is being developed solely for the hand-held PlayStation Vita, for now anyway. Developed by Guerilla Cambridge and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, Killzone: Mercenary picks up right where the original Killzone first installment left off, while revisiting many of the events from the subsequent trilogy. Fighting as character Arran Danner, users can accept paid contracts from the ISA and the Helghast. But when a routine mission goes foul and an Ambassador’s son goes missing, Danner (the user) takes up the charge of bringing him back as unharmed as possible. Look for an October release on Vite where the user can utilize its touch screen and rear touch panel.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist

Based on Tom Clancy’s novel series and published by big-time developer Ubisoft, Blacklist follows up the events of Splinter Cell: Conviction, where U.S. President Patricia Caldwell shuts down the corrupt Third Echelon and replaces it with a new organization aptly named Fourth Echelon. Comprised by a team of elite operatives drawn from various government agencies who operate in a mobile environment and undertakes dangerous assignments handed down directly by the President , the Fourth Echelon is headed by familiar agent Sam Fisher. But its up to Fisher to stop a group of terrorists Hellbent on inflicting a number of attacks on the U.S. called “The Blacklist.” A North America release date is planned for August 20  but no word yet on which console(s) it will be launched on.
