This year, wouldn’t it be nice to know exactly what you’re eating and drinking – and best of all, be able to show off your spirited knowledge to others? Fortunately, the popular Boston restaurant, Eastern Standard, has you covered.

In 2014, the brasserie will be serving up a “Standard” Education featuring a day-long curriculum of interactive classes. As noted in a release, “the Eastern Standard team will highlight various aspects of the brasserie’s food and beverage programs.” These classes will give participants (of any experience level) a chance to taste, learn and imbibe. You’ll also get an “inside look” at the eatery’s culture.

These Standard Classes will take place on February 8 from 11 a.m. to 5:20 p.m. You can buy each class (a la carte) for $40, or you can purchase a full day of classes for $200. With the purchase of three or more classes, you can also add on a five-course dinner at Eastern Standard for just $70 ($40 for optional beverage pairings) and/or an overnight stay at Hotel Commonwealth at a special rate of $169. You can buy your tickets here.

Good deal. Here’s a look at the unique, not-so-standard classes as described by an official source. Cheers!
